Unfortunately, Sandollar Alpacas has lost its lease on the farm adjacent to its property housing nearly one half of its herd and must immediately reduce its herd by 50% by mid May, 2010 to avoid overcrowding. You can read more about it in our Spring Newsletter.

This creates an unbelievable opportunity for existing breeders to diversity their herds, or for new alpaca lovers to purchase foundation stock at unbelievable prices. The prices reflected today represent approximately one third of their previous list price. And there are some bred females ready to birth, so you might even end up with two females for the price of one!

Sandollar Alpacas currently has a great variety of both huacaya and suri alpacas available in many different colors.

We offer reproductive warranties for all bred or breeding quality alpacas that we sell; if the female is bred, we offer a 7-day live cria guarantee.

Rent-A-Paca Program

Do you have a little bit of land available and are wondering what to do with it? Have you ever seen any of those gorgeous alpacas on TV commercials? Well hesitate no longer. In response to customer requests, Sandollar Alpacas in Kennewick, WA has instituted a new "Rent-A-Paca" program!

After inspecting your farm or ranch to make sure you have adequate facilities for their care (they need perimeter fencing to keep predators away, a 3-sided shelter or barn, and a clean water supply daily), we will deliver three gorgeous alpacas to your ranch along with a 90-day supply of hay and grain. We will teach you how to handle and care for them, and will always be available to answer questions. We will check in with you weekly, and check in on them monthly to make sure everything is going well!

And at the end of the 90 days, when you decide to buy them, the rental fee will apply to their purchase price! Or you can return them with absolutely no obligation! If there is a better way to try alpaca ownership, we can't imagine it.
